I am trying to buy something on the internet and I have brought my Java version current but I get "javascript void" in the task bar when I try to check out.

Any other suggestions?

Javascript has no relation to Java. Very common misconception. Usually Javascript relates to the script on a webpage that could be affected by an ad blocker. Don't know the context of your issue so I'm just guessing. But I do know that Java is a red herring.
