Hey all -

I am using a Macbook Pro with FiOS as my provider. No problem with normal surfing. But if I use Yahoo's StatTracker (for fantasy baseball), the app opens and gives initial data but then never updates unless I refresh. However, if I am connected to my work's VPN, then StatTracker updates just fine. Any idea why that would be? Can it be fixed?

Thanks!

The one that affects me most often is Yahoo's StatTracker. I am in a fantasy baseball league and the league is on Yahoo. The StatTracker is a Java app, I believe, that updates live. Or it's supposed to! Again, it only works for me when I have my VPN connected.

Do you have any applications like noscript or adblockers?

Another thing I realized here. Every time I change my VPN connected status, Facebook makes me re-log in. Also, Yahoo's weather thing thinks I am in Austin, Texas (where my VPN originates), even though I keep telling it in I am in Dresher, PA (and I click Set Default every time). Does any of that help?

May I ask why you are using VPN Tunneling?

Are there any proxy settings that are present on your machine prior to connection to the VPN?

Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
  • Flush DNS
  • Report IE Proxy Settings
  • Reset IE Proxy Settings
  • Report FF Proxy Settings
  • Reset FF Proxy Settings
  • List content of Hosts
  • List IP configuration
  • List last 10 Event Viewer log
  • List Installed Programs
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
  • List Minidump Files
Click Go and post the result (Result.txt). A copy of Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run.

Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.

No that will not work on a Mac, however, can you provide a link to the StatTracker?
