I have ran Spybot, Spyware Doctor, Ad-aware and various other spyware removal tools and nothing has cleaned up the spyware from my computer. I seem to be infected with several different spyware programs (gator.exe, gmt.exe, ddm_d.exe, cme.exe, cmesys.exe, cmeupd.exe - there are several others as well). All of these files are located in C:\WINDOWS\System32. Although they are removed by the above mentioned programs they always come back right after they have been removed. Also, my desktop is changed to an HTML file (security.html) stating that my computer is infected with malicous software. I get popups stating the same. I also have a program named MSSMGR that is consistently in my registry, even after I delete it, when I restart my computer it is there again. I don't know what else to do to get rid of these spyware programs.

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Below is the hijackthis log file generated on my computer. Thanks. Mike

I feel your pain. I work in a corporate environment and we are facing some similar issues. I have used a combination of things to remove this stuff, but I come in the next day and the pc is reinfected.

I'm going to keep an eye on this thread...I hope someone has some ideas
