I posted this in another topic earlier but it was the wrong one. Sorry about that.
Mod Edit: Deleted dupe post in Win 7 forum ~ Hamluis.

I found consrv.dll on my computer after running a virus scan with AVG. I noticed my laptop was acting funny. When I tried to remove it, AVG said something about it changing the registry. So I canceled the removal and searched for consrv.dll on google.

I ended up on a website I thought was going to be helpful. It was cleanpcguide.com/download. I wrote down all the steps it told me to take, rebooted in safe mode and ran the fixexe that it gave me. It disabled something in my registry. (I assume it was consrv.dll) The second step was to install and run some sort of virus scanner. It found over 500 infections on my machine and then wanted me to pay for removal.

After that happened I closed out the virus scanner it had me install and then I found my way to this website. As of right now i'm still in safe mode and consrv.dll is still on my machine. I also don't know how to undo whatever the fixexe did.

If someone on this forum could help me I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Also, I'm using Windows 7 and i'm very sorry if I posted this in the wrong place!
