Hi,

I got my computer cleaned up about 3-4 days ago, which finally the virus is gone.
I however, still realize my computer would sometimes get spikes and lag waves which drags me up to 4k 6k ms.
Maybe would last for like 3 to 5 seconds, and then go back to normal.
I suppose if my system got cleaned out completely already, there should not be any virus attack - which thus, internet connection should not be related to malwares.
I wonder then, how, if there's a way, to improve internet connection?
See, my college dorm has only wifi and after a thousand submissions of help tickets regarding to internet speed and no responses, I kind of start wondering if it is just me who lags.
If that's the case, is there a way to get around the lags?
I also realize - seems like whenever people play games, we have even worse internet (and supposedly we have some kind of data limit on each ip i think), so is there I could prevent myself from lagging
when someone is dragging (which seems impossible) the internet?

Anyways thanks.

PS hope im in the right spot.. if not, my apology.

Hi Again,
Not sure how to attach this so:
Posted Image
I am not sure if that's a slow or fast connection, but anyhow - that's the connection which I consider the max, 'cause everyone's asleep right now I am sure, and probably not one is using the internet. (3:00am)

I am currently using MSE, which seems to be running quite nicely...

Thanks!!

That is like dragging your feet in mud, (Sorry) -
I was getting about 6 or 7 Mbps download, so I upped my plan, got a new modem and now I average 12 to 14 Mbps (and the wife is playing slot machines on F/book now)
This is average, now 9.00 PM here (and I also use MSE as my Antivirus) -

Not sure if you were offered this in Malware removal but ...........
Download TFC Cleaner to your desktop and run it from there -
Double click on the icon (Black Garbage can) > click Start > This will shut down any open programs, so please make sure all is saved > Always Reboot after you run this tool to be sure it has completed its job -
TFC only cleans temp folders. TFC will not clean URL history, prefetch, or cookies. Depending on how often someone cleans their temp folders, their system hardware, and how many accounts are present, it can take anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or more. TFC will completely clear all temp files where other temp file cleaners may fail. TFC requires a reboot immediately after running.

I will see if I can find anything else for you -

Note the line at the Middle that says - GRADE: F ......... (SLOWER THAN 86% OF US) -

Let's flush the dirty DNS cache and restore MS's Hosts file ...

Copy and paste these lines in Note pad. It must be notepad, no other text editor will work
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
@Echo on
pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
attrib -h -s -r hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
attrib +r +h +s hosts
popd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset all
netsh int ip reset all
shutdown -r -t 1
del %0

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Save as flush.bat to your desktop. NOTE: The .bat extension is very important
Double click on the flush.bat file to run it.Vista and Windows 7... right click the .bat file and choose to run as Administrator.
Your computer will then reboot itself.-

You might also run a chkdsk and see if that helps

Start recovery console
Open Command line
type chkdsk /f

Please download Farbar Service Scanner and run it on the computer with the issue.
  • Make sure the following options are checked:
    • Internet Services
    • Windows Firewall
    • System Restore
    • Security Center
    • Windows Update
  • Press "Scan".
  • It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
  • Please copy and paste the log to your reply.

Hi again,

If there's a way to also buff my fps in game?
Going very unstable jumping form 7 fps to max 42 fps is no. Fun. At. All.
