Pc Has Been Taken Over

I dont know what autoplay is or where it came from. It is a box with a flashlight it just comes on and stops everything else, sometimes it causes a freeze. that i have to reboot to start again. It happens so often.that this message has taken 6 min. to send

Does this happen when you have placed a CD in the drive or is there anything else that you open or click on makes it occur?

no disk It starts when i connect to the internet. when it freezes top of screen says microsoft internet explorer not responding. Very hard for me to re ch and stay connect.
