When I get a powerpoint message in my outlook express..it forever to open

How long is "forever" and when you "open"...do you mean "download"?

IMO, download problems are a function of bandwidth connection and file size which the ISP can maximize...while problems opening an attachment would seemingly point to your install of PowerPoint, Office, or viewer...or your system if you have same problem with all PP documents stored on hard drive.
