Hi, how is everyone? A few months ago I had a BiOS issue with my Dell Inspiron 1501 computer. I had a series of annoying beeps on boot up and when I got into the log in screen (I password protect because of nosey people), my keyboard would not work. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldnt. Eventually I was able to research the problem on the internet and updated its BiOS. Well now the series of annoying beeps are back along with a keyboard problem that does not happen on and off. I dont know if my computer is down the tubes this time or not. Here is a video i uploaded to youtube a few minutes ago to further give an idea of what the beeps sound like. Its very short I know but my phone isnt updated.

If I were a gambling man, I'm not a gambler BTW, I'd still be betting on a stuck key on the keyboard.

In your case since it is a Dell, the maintenance manual is available from them.
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins1501/en/sm_en/index.htm
Just follow the instructions for removing the keyboard.
1st step http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins1501/en/sm_en/hingecvr.htm#wp1129533
2nd step http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins1501/en/sm_en/keyboard.htm#wp1111863
Unhook the keyboard and then try the computer as a test.
Use a gentle touch on the connector for the keyboard. they are delicate.

Keyboards are pretty cheap.

Good Luck
Roger

Well I feel goofy. That was the issue. I didnt know if it was the BiOS again. It did this before as I had said and when i updated the BiOS, it was fine. At least now I have an answer. Thank you!
