Display freezes with 16 bit colours

am facing a problem with my display which freezes at times with 16 bit colors - and then followed by Blue screen which is unreadable

pls help me figure out if this is a graphic card issue or my monitor is bad?
i have backed up all my data in safe mode and then every thing works well - i have updated all drivers as well

however as soon as windows starts normally - it freezes moments after

Please post the system specs or computer model. Can you run the system in safemode without the freezing problem? May I ask why is 16 bit color related to your problem?
