I've recently downloaded Adobe Reader 7.0.7, by what I've read Adobe Reader 7.0 is the update of Adobe Acrobat 4.0, 5.0, I notice these older programmes are still in my computer, do I need them or will the updated Adobe reader 7.0.7 fully take their place.?

You can safely delete prior versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader, if you have already downloaded and installed 7.0.7 from the Adobe site.
