I am constantly trying to figure out how to get contacts from one email to the next. My latest task is to convert an AOL address Book to Gmail. The problem like always is the fields do not line up and your left with an incorrect/incomplete Gmail contact list. I know you can go into a CSV file via Excel and edit the fields. However, this takes time and there seems like the risk of making an error. I have come across the following program Address Magic Personal PLUS and it retails for $50. Has anyone else used this program and would you recommend it or another similar one. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Unfortunately Gmail has taken out the Select the Accounts and Import tab, therefore you can't choose this options anymore. Here is a workaround.

AOL-GMAIL Contacts:

Here is another solution where you do not need to send email AT ALL.
1)in AOL Communicator, export your contacts in AOLís ldif format file.
2)in Thunderbird, import your contacts in text format.
3)in Thunderbird, export your contacts in csv format.
4)in Gmail, import your contacts in csv format.

I just tried that and what I did was click on the "Revert To Old Look" and then the
directions could be followed that I linked to.
Glad you found a solution. Thanks for posting it.
