Am i going to be the first one to answer this one?....... seems like a charity.....

Anyways, it's a hole.......

And to be technical, a hole doesn't really exist... it's just a concept... a "hole" is actually a lack of material.....

Actually, there are at least two correct responses to this question.
And me poor, old, tired brain is trying to remember the third.

....mmmmm, well if you have a lack of material to the base of a bucket what would be a "hole" so it would exist...maybe ur getting mixed up with the concept of black holes in spaces...which may yet have to be proven??

Heretic Monkey is quite right, you can prove it with this simple experiment:
  • Take a bucket with a hole in it. (Dear Liza, dear Liza)
  • Remove the bucket. (Use your light sabre or set fire to it or whatever)
  • Show what's left to an independant observer and tell them it is a "hole".
  • Now show the independant observer nothing.
  • Ask the independant observer what was the difference between "nothing" and a "hole"
  • When they say "nothing" that proves holes do not exist.
I can't believe I just typed that ...

If a hole doesn't exist, and something must exist for it to be represented by a word... then theoterically a hole does exist. I confuse myself. :flowers:

It exists as a concept, not an object.
