I had a new hard drive installed in my Toshiba laptop. When I got it home my new battery that was giving me about 2.5 hours is now giving me about 30 mins. I've let it drain and repowered it but it's not lasting. What can be done besides buying yet another battery?

Hi aed,

I have a couple of questions for you.

1. You mentioned the battery in the computer (when you took it to get the hard drive installed) was new. Are you sure the battery that's in your computer now is the same one which was in it when you took the machine to have the hard drive installed?

2. You asked what can be done besides "buying yet another battery." Does this mean you have been having to replace the battery more frequently than you should have to?
