Hi guys, my first post here :).

I appreciate any help or light shed over this matter; i feel quite stupid.

Basically last August, I bought a brand new Acer Aspire 5750G from ebuyer.com .
It's the exact same one advertised here http://www.ebuyer.com/344029-acer-aspire-5750g-laptop-lx-rmx02-019?utm_source=google&utm_medium=products

except it doesn't have a blu ray drive combination.

My query is, both on the website and on my laptop itself ( the stickers on the laptop ), it is suggested that I have a dedicated Nvidia GT 540m graphics card,
however looking through my system settings myself I can't find for the life of me this written anywhere. When running dxdiag.exe , it says that my display chip type is 'Intel HD Graphics Family'.

I thought that some games that i was running on this laptop was a bit sluggish; which led me to investigate this whole matter.

Please, if anybody could give me any help i'd appreciate it, and if you need anymore information from me; please don't hesitate to ask.

I have a 5755.

Right click on the desktop and go to the NVidia control panel. You have to manually assign the .exe to use the 540M.

I am a retired Ford tech. Next to Fords, any computer is a piece of cake. (The cake, its not a lie)

3770K @4.5, Corsair H100, GTX780, 16gig Samsung, Obsidian 700 (yes there is a 700)
