I was asked to retrieve the files from a clients computer. The problem is that he's managed to lose all of the cords to it and I can't find the right cord/adapter to attach the screen to the tower.

The monitor (Samsung) has a female VGA port and a female DVI port (see below).

The computer (Dell) has a male DB9 serial port, a female DMS-59 port and standard UBS ports. (also below).

I've gone in circles with Staples, Best Buy and Radioshack. None of them seem to know what to do. How or what do I need in order to connect these? I've come across VGA to serial adapters and VGA to USB adapters as well. Would either of these work or is it a lost cause?

Please help.

I can't thank you enough. It's been such a nightmare with going back and forth to multiple stores and being sent home with the wrong cable each time. Thank you again!
