Hi Everyone, I have just started having Zone Alarm popping up a notice saying that COMMAND LINE UTILITY is trying to access the internet.

I haven't allowed it to do so as I do not know what it is, however it seems to be connected with an application called "MpCmdRun.exe"

Does anyone know anything about either one of these two things?

Thanks Wendy

If you have installed Windows Defender (which became offered last week as the successor to the Microsoft Antispyware beta), it is the automatic update attempting to access the newest malware definition files.

Hi Enthusiast, Thanks for the reply, I have just downloaded the beta version of that thing so I guess it's alright to let that thing access the internet.

Thanks Wendy
