As mentioned in the topic description, I cannot download state tax forms or update to federal forms. Get error that an "unknown socket error" occurred, but I am still able to connect to the internet using other programs. I have tried disabling firewalls and changin virus programs, to no avail. Naturally the tax folks cannot help with PC problems, they just give a phone number to call if have IRS tax-realted issues. Any guidance appreciated.
