Hello Everyone,

I am a super noob, though I do think I can handle some well laid out instructions.

ISSUES INCLUDE:

A. Windows will not update, says in action center:

1. Windows could not check for updates automatically
2. Download and install Driver Update (chipset driver available)
3. Download and install missing driver for your memory card

B. Cannot get to certain sites:

In FireFox receiving security warning that states:
This Connection is Untrusted

Tried following the prompts to add security exception and it didnt help. (i do this particular action almost daily at work with some of our software, though i again am no expert.)
( i think i tried adding netflix to trusted sites and facebood too)

I can get to some other sites like: Pinkbike.com, Vipbox.com, some mobile sites.

C. No Porn, pluggin errors?

Some error in a strange white box at the bottom of the video that says ERROR with some numbers. I dont get it anymore because i tried to fix it myself and now no video screen pops up at all.

WHAT DO I KNOW ABOUT HOW I GOT THIS? NOTHING! I HAVENT DONE ANYTHING NEW, except maybe using VIPBOX.tv chat software? i dont know. It seemed like, once i couldnt update the date and time i was screwed, my computer overheated on day and when i rebooted, it was having all the site issues. The System Update problems started first i believe.

Thanks for any and all help you can provide.

Please perform the following, so that we can get the exact specs of your computer. This will better assist us in helping you more.

Publish a Snapshot using Speccy

The below is for those who cannot get online

Please take caution when attaching a text file to your post if you cannot copy/paste the link to your post, you will need to edit it to make sure that your Windows Key is not present.

Downloaded successfully and installed, but when i went to run it i get an error: Speccy has stopped Working, below that " a problem caused the program to stop running correctly.

Could this have to do with my date and time being 5:22am 1/3/1601? ... i try to change it and it goes right back it seems after the automatic updates kick in i think, havent tried it in over a week.

Either way, the program unfortunately wont run

Go into your BIOS and check the time there.

okay, couldnt figure out the bios thing. talked to my dad and he said that part of the issue could be needing a new mother board battery?

here is the link from speccy (got it to work after manually doing the date and time again)

if the BIOS time is incorrect, then the last thing would be to replace the battery.

I really appreciate your time. That seems to be it. the bios time was 1/21/2007 and the "time" on the clock just started ticking secs, min, etc.

Thank you again

Keep monitoring it, and if it happens again then you need a new CMOS Battery cost is less then 10 dollars.
