Ive recently restored my computer back to factory settings due to an error at start up, but every now and again it just restarts by itself when im half way through something.... Plus i have a file in C:/ called instp.exe which sometimes Takes up all processing power unless i stop the task at startup. When the computer restarts, it sometimes sends an error report back saying its my usb modem (Webstar from scientific Atlanta) but i have no idea what to do, or even what my modem is called, so icant update the drivers. Someone help with These problems please? It would be Sooooooo much appreciated.

You can look at the modem to determine which it is and download drivers here if you need them:

Did you burn the drivers to a cd and install from there and uninstall the old drivers first before installing the new ones?
