HP ZE2000 laptop died.

When I start it up the mouse is stuck, computer keyboard not working, tried external keyboard and mose and still no cursor movement or anything.

When it uploads the desktop a big WARNING that says that the ATI driver is missing and that the ATI panel will now close but you cant move the mouse or do anything, I do not have the startup disc

Computer runs windows XP SP3 Home edition.

This was after I deleted several rouge virus.

Are you able to start the computer in Safe Mode/Safe Mode with networking?
  • Tap F8 after pressing the ON button, and continue tapping until presented with the Widows Advanced Options Menu.
  • Use the UP/DOWN arrows to highlight Safe Mode and then press the <ENTER> key.
Are you able to successfully start Windows in Safe Mode?
  • Do you then have the use of keyboard/mouse (laptop's or USB external)?

Yes windows does boot into safe mode

No external Mouse or Keyboard will work.

The popup is stuck in the middle of the screen and so is the cursor.

When in safe mode I still have no control of keyboard or mouse. External or Intenal. When booted up.
