I was trying using Tumblr and getting a weird stream of characters will trying to use a meme photo. I continued trying to fix it, when suddenly, my laptop got a weird screen. Kind of like the ones you get when a video game crashes bad and all you can do is restart. That's what I did, and when I restarted, it told me it didn't shut down successfully. So I entered safe mode, and have found everything works... except for sound, which is no longer enabled. I tried windows troubleshooting and it said it couldn't fix the problems it found.
MBAM, Super AntiSpyware, and McAfee scans all came back clean so I doubt it's a virus.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Other info:
Laptop is an HP 635 running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. Any other info will be given if needed.
Thanks!

Okay, it works in normal mode. I was just confused because on this one I thought I remembered playing a video in safe mode but I must have been thinking about the desktop or something. Duh moment. LOL. Thanks!
