Hello,

After following the detailed step by step Remove Smart Fortress 2012 (Uninstall Guide), I have been able to fix the issues with *.exes by downloading the FixExec file from the following location:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-smart-fortress-2012

Further, I have also downloaded the MalwareBytes Anti-Malware 1.60.1.1000 s/w from following location:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/malwarebytes-anti-malware

It gets installed correctly but since it need to be updated as it says database is outdated by 63 days, it throws following error after sometime:

Attached File  Error.jpg   23.21KB   3 downloads

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

An error has occured. Please report this issue to our support team (include the content of all error message(s) and codes(s) in your submission.

PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING (0,0,Timeout)

Since s/w cannot be updated it cannot find the files pertaining to the Smart Fortress 2012. How to proceed from here?

Thanks,

Andy
