Hi, can anyone help? I have an intermittent failure of the router. Connection between the laptop, working wirelessly, and the router excellent. But the router keeps losing the connection with internet. Happens a douzen times a day. If I switch off the router and then switch it back on again it work fine for a while and then drops the signal. Any ideas?

How about the wired connection, does it also disconnect like on wireless network? Did you check the router's light indicators if they are all green during this occurs? If not, then you might wanna try getting a bit closer distance first or changing the router's channel from default/automatic to another number(6 or 11). Please post the router's model# on your next post and what other devices are connecting.

Check with your ISP. They may be performing network maintenance, or there may be an outage somewhere. There's usually a link on their site under the heading "Network Status".

Hi guys. Thanks for the replies. I read on another post how to change the router's settings and it seems to have worked. Not lost the signal for a few days since so fingers crossed!
