So I was playing again and it seems this error in general is pretty common. This is my first error and this is a new computer almost a week old. I did a "sfc /scannow" and it said everything was ok.

I think we have a good case for collecting some more information about what might be going on here.

:step1: Please follow the instructions: BSOD Posting Instructions: Windows 7 - Vista

(Note: When you run BSOD_Windows7_Vista_v2.64_jcgriff2_.exe, it will also run autoruns.exe ... and both need to be in the same location!)
... with one exception in the following line:
  • "4. Zip up the entire output folder + PERFMON and attach the zip file to your next post."
The BC forums will allow a total attachment size of only 512 kb (and what you need to attach will exceed this limit). Please upload the zip file to a file sharing website of your choice and and post a link to it in this thread so that we can access your uploaded zip file. I will have a look at the contained information and see if I can shed some light on your BSOD issue.

See the suggestions in the following links for recommendations on file sharing websites:
  • http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/15-great-free-online-file-sharing-alternatives/
  • http://www.smashingapps.com/2008/08/28/5-best-free-file-hosting-services-to-store-your-files.html

:step2: Please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy, and post a link to it in this thread.
  • It is a convenient and accurate way of providing us with details of your computer specifications.

:step3: Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.
  • Checkmark the following checkboxes:
    • List Installed Programs
  • Click Go.
When the scan is finished, a text file will open in a Notepad window.
  • Copy the entire contents of the Notepad window, and paste in your reply.
(Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run.)

If you want to see how deep the rabbit hole is....
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ntdebugging/archive/2011/10/26/debugging-a-clock-watchdog-timeout-bugcheck.aspx

In that case it was a 3rd party driver that caused Processor #0 to wait for Processor #3 to do something that it was going to do as soon as Processor #0 became available which was waiting for Processor #3 and so on and so on CRASH!

I know it doesn't directly address CalusBlade's issue but it could be interesting to anyone who troubleshoots problems like he is having :)

Please try another file-sharing website such as mediafire.com or box.com, since wupload.com is apparently not a good choice (I must wait 41 minutes before downloading).

Uninstall DAEMON Tools Lite (Version: 4.45.3.0297) since this is a well known trouble-maker/bsod-maker in Windows 7 systems.

Uninstall the program in the usual way ... and then check to make sure that the file sptd.sys is no longer present on your system. Unfortunately the sptd.sys file is usually left behind after uninstalling the program, and it needs to be removed manually or using the following method:
  • Download and run the SPTD setup file: http://www.duplexsecure.com/en/downloads

Note: Running this file will enable you to either uninstall sptd.sys or to install it.
  • Choose to uninstall/remove sptd.sys
When you have done this restart the computer and check that the file sptd.sys is no longer present on your system. One way to verify this is to perform a search for the file (ensure that you use the 64 bit version of SystemLook).
Please download SystemLook.exe and save it to your Desktop.
  • alternate download link
For users of Windows 64 bit systems: SystemLook (64-bit)
  • Double-click SystemLook.exe to run it.
  • Copy the content of the following code box and paste into the main text field:
    :filefind
    sptd.sys

  • Click the Look button to start the scan.
Please be patient, as it may take a little time.
  • When finished, a Notepad window will open with the results of the scan.
  • Please copy & paste the entire content of this log in your next reply.
Note: The log, SystemLook.txt, is saved on your Desktop.

Let's see what the situation is like after doing that.

Please use the 64 bit version of SystemLook, and not the 32 bit version, since you are using a Windows 64 bit system. Otherwise the result is meaningless.

I just got a "amd driver failed and recovered" issue. There was no crash. base on the event log it said it was amdkmdap. This is the first one i've got. I got it when i was opening several windows of an old game (3 of them). This game doesn't require really anything for the system.

I'm guess this is a driver issue, so I am gonna look for the most current driver update.

I crashed again during the game but blew screen view didn't find anything. It didn't blue screen just froze up and stop responding. Donno if that means anything. After restart, nothing popped up about a crash or anything. Did the game just locked up? The sound also locked up as well. (couldn't move and the same sound in that half second kept playing over and over again).
