Last week I noticed down in the bottom right hand corner a code "Error 7801"(I could be wrong about this as I can't find it in my web search now). I did a google search for it and saw that it was the code that stated I had an invalid version of windows. Seeing as I have had this computer for a year and a half, I knew there was a mistake. I went to microsoft.com/pag and had it validated. Then it took me to a page where it asked if I wanted to update my security. I said yes. I don't know if this is what is causing the problem, but now my computer is running very slow. I have to do 2-4 hard shut downs before it will load up right. Then, the internet is so slow and just loading google chrome has become a waiting game.

Did I some how get a virus or malware that caused the invalid error?

Thank You,
