is it worth to install a w8 in mac virtual drive

hi

i am new in windows since have not used the pc for 8 years. however i heard a lot about w8 , so is it worth it to try on mac virtual drive ( parallel desktop )?

Just try it and see what you think. You really have nothing to lose.

I do not have experience with using Parallels for Virtual Desktop, but you can get VirtualBox for free and according to the site it does support OS X hosts: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

I installed Windows 8 on my hard disk. And now I think that I need to buy a touchscreen enabled screen. My impression of Windows 8 is that it is made for being the main OS of your system.

Why not. I have an old computer I slapped it on so I did not have to install it in VMware. I think having it in a VM would be a little better because you can revert to previous installed states a lot easier. When I put Windows 8 on my laptop I installed all the Windows 7 drivers and then I had to reload Windows 8.
