i look for service and especially free shipping. Also, an easy to read format of product listings.

What do you look for in a company?

I generally want to determine if the company is reliable, so I check Resellerratings's consumer reviews:

Very often a company can have great prices, and free shipping, but heaven help you if you have to return something because they shippedt the wrong item and it came damaged. Taken with a grain of salt, because people tend to complain more than praise, the aggregated comments about customer service can help with the decision.

John

Oh yeah~ amen to that. Been through that pain.

Newegg is good in its own way. There are other little other stores that kick arse too. resellerratings.com is GREAT to find those other stores.

I use and never had a problem with newegg.com or tigerdirect.com...
Their return ploices have always been helpful for me.

BUt I often buy from a local vendor (hands on so to speak?)
The only easy day was yesterday.

I repair alot of older computer, so a company that has parts for some what older computers is important to me. No use shopping a company that does not stock the parts.
I do like the local shops myself. Not the chains, the mom and pop shops.
