I have a Dell Studio with Windows 7. Was originally Windows Vista but after a hard drive replacement i upgraded. Problem is, everytime i am connected to the internet my built in cd drive constantly tries ejecting although there is no disc inserted. i have tried cleaning the drive and made sure it was reinstalled properly. only happens when i am connected to the internet. also does not seem to burn disc will read them just fine though. Any help would be appreciated

Try checking internet options via control panel. In Advanced menu - Security - check if the CD option is ticked. Have you tried putting a CD before going online?
