Hello from a Kiwi in Vienna, Austria!

I have personally recently recovered from some version of a rootkit...luckily I use a dual boot, one without internet access the other with, the one with internet was a write-off and easier to format/reinstall than bother spending too much time fixing!

Now I have a friend with the zeroaccess rootkit, and although I am tempted to tell him to backup any files and then reinstall I would like to have a go at cleaning this one up it I can...looks pretty bad at this stage...

From what I have seen in the forums there is a very talented bunch of people here and so hopefully we can work this one out!!!
