Today I am experiencing a problem with sending emails to others.
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium
My email client is the most recent version of Thunderbird.
I am able to get incoming mail, but can not send any mail out unless I go on the web and sing into my accounts from there.
I have all my email accounts configured to be viewed in Thunderbird.
2- gMail accounts
1- ATT account(yahoo)
1- Hotmail account. I guess they call this Windows Live now.

I sure would appreciate help in this matter. I believe all my server settings are correct.
The error message I get when I try to send is:
http://postmaster.yahoo.com/abuse_smtp.html

When I click on okay I get another error message:
Message can't be sent because connection to smtp server smtp.att.yahoo.com lost in middle of transaction

I surely am puzzled by all of this
Thanks

The 2 error messages I
get are exactly what I stated in my first post.
Strange thing is that I ca send myself emails from any of my 4 accounts via Thunberbird, but can't send emails out to other contacts.

After doing some searching at a web forum,I think I may have fixed my issue for now.
It seems that Yahoo has some quirk with message background colors, affecting Thunderbird, possibly others. First I unchecked the HTML,causing messages to be plain text only.
I did something else tonight in the config editor. Changed the msgcompose.background_color from #FFFFFF to #ffffff. Just sent an email+it went thru just fine.
Now my question is why would Yahoo care about a message background color?
