Ran combo fix to remove searchbif redirect virus. Seemed to have run well but on reboot will not run any executables.

"Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion."

Ran it before finding this forum unfortunately.

Edit: Moved topic from Windows 7 to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Hi,

ComboFix is an extremely powerful tool which should only be used when instructed to do so by someone who has been properly trained.
It is intended by its creator to be used under the guidance and supervision of a Malware Removal Expert, not for private use.
Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again.

Please do not run Combofix on your own.

This being said, your issue should be fixed by another reboot.
