Hello Everyone!

My name is Jon and I am an aspiring Computer Technician. My interest in computers started for me years ago when I started taking them apart and putting them back together again, which then turned into fixing computers for my friends and family. I think the main reason I got into this was to learn how everything worked and how to figure out and solve the problems that would eventually arise when you have a computer, whether it be a missing file, a failed hard drive, or a pesky virus. I have been going to school to learn more about computer information systems, and perhaps there is a possibility that I will take this into a career, but I am still not sure yet.

I am hoping that this can be a place where I can get more involved in CIS, as well as interact with others in the field. I think everyone has something to share or contribute, which can help a community as a whole. What do you think? Anyhow, hope to chat with everyone soon. :)

Hello and :welcome: to Bleeping Computer.

Interesting enough I just finished a subject in CIS. Although the course I took was from a management point of view and mainly dealt with strategy concepts rather than the nuts and bolts of IT architecture.

Be sure to check out the New User Orientation and the excellent Tutorials.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
