Hello Everybody, I'm using Windows XP Home Edition SP3. Having problem in installing MSE antivirüs. After download, install operation never ends and "Error Code 0x8oo7064C" is received. Could anybody please help me to correct this problem ? Thanks.

I would try the proceure suggested by Aiscer at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect_start/cant-uninstall-security-essentials-error/2d20c060-50b9-4c08-a58c-54e9453806e9 , employing the Windows Installer Cleanup Tool.

Then...try the install again.

Hi Hamluis,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Aiscer's suggested procedure followed and done. But nothing changed. After downloading and druggingMSE installer into the "RUN" box only ....\mseinstall.exe is showing instead of \mssefullinstallx86fre-en-us-xp.exe. Could this difference be the reason for the failure ?

Regards
Oktay
