Hey guys:

My Outlook Express is messing up pretty bad. I try to send a message to a friend and it performs the receive e-mails action fine, but the send e-mails action is malfunctioning. When it attempts to send, e-mail(s) stay in the outbox and gives this error:

Under Tasks tab:

Send 1 message(s) using 'mail.optonline.net': 0(0 bytes)total.

At the bottom of the box it says, "1 of 2 tasks have completed successfully." (This is in the box that comes up when you hit the send/receive button.)

Then what happens is the person I sent it to gets it multiple times and also a whole bunch of other people in my contact list receive the same e-mail and they get it multiple times too.

What do you think?

Thanks

Thanks again InadequateInfirmity. It looks to me like the guide is for Microsoft Outlook. I'm still hunting around too.

^If the Inbox Repair Tool suggested above doesn't help, you will need to do a repair installation of MS Office and/or create a new profile on Outlook (and delete the old one)

Switch to using Mozilla Thunderbird which has far more features than OE and is a lot safer.
