I was first introduced to this website by a coworker who managed to contract a nasty little bit of coding on his laptop. I'm still guessing facebook ads since all of the computers I have encountered show evidence of clicking them, and their owners admit to it. (One of the types that likes to act as if you have 16 infections.) I've recently run into a bit of a snag myself although it's much less dangerous. I'll link it after I finish my introduction here.

I've dabbled in fixing computers and removing viruses, half the time I get lucky, the other half I figure it out.

I don't give out personal information, but since this is a computer forum...

I run a Lenovo Thinkpad with Windows 7 Home Premium. Lenovo is the brand I'm partial to for computers.

Intel i3 cores, 2.40GHz.
4gb ram.
64 bit os.

I prefer firefox as a browser. ...and most of us would agree that IE is only for downloading a more superior browser.

I've repaired friends computers and I'm considering making it into a small side-job. I haven't dabbled into the deepest depths of the computer realm, but with the right tools and information there hasn't been much I haven't been able to fix.

Doubting I'll be posting much, perhaps for odd-jobs or questions here and there. And even then, I mostly lurk. See you all around the forum!
