I'm Administrator but PC won't recognize it

After vacation, W7 (worked fine) acts as if I am not administrator. I can't download camera pics and in Windows Explorer, files and pics are "grey"/shadow. I signed in with correct password and control panel confirms I am administrator (no others exist). I changed names, password - nothing works. If I'm admin why does it act as if I'm not? (This is probably easy - LOL)
