Hello, I am very new to the world of viruses as I have never had one on my computer till now.I am certain I am infected with something as my antivirus program Kaspersky 2012 stopped working and suddenly I received a pop up indicating a "System Repair" procedure. I clicked on several x 's to exit the program as quickly as I could as I knew this was an uninitiated program running.I tried to stop the computer from continuing by forcing the shutdown by holding my finger on the power button. Since then when I start the computer I cannot load ANY anti virus programs to check on infections. I ran Malwarebytes and it discovered two trojans which it quarantined. I have tried to load quick online virus scanners like the Housecall from Trend Micro and Nortons quick scan but they don't load properly. I'm at a lost now. Can you tell me where to start and if I have the System Repair" virus ? Thanks.

Hello and welcome,,,I split to your own topic here as you have a dufferent infection, No problem as I see you are new.

Let me know how it is after this.
Where it says install Malwarebytes, you already have so just run yours.
Please follow our Removal Guide here Remove System Repair .
After reading how the malware is misleading you ...
You will move to the Automated Removal Instructions

After you completed that, post your scan log here, let me know how things are.
The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Be sure to post the complete log to include the top portion which shows MBAM's database version and your operating system.

Also the other tool log.. A log file named TDSSKiller_version_date_time_log.txt (i.e. TDSSKiller.2.4.0.0_27.07.2010_09.o7.26_log.txt) will be created and saved to the root directory (usually Local Disk C:).
Copy and paste the contents of that file in your next reply.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
