I can't find any option that lets me move files around in a folder, placing them here and there and organizing in my own way. This wasn't a problem in XP. It would be very helpful to stop autosort of files. What to do?

Hi D_Blackwell -
I chased a few items, and found these 2 that may help you, These depend on your level of working knowlege etc.

Item 1) http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/disable-auto-arrange-folders-windows-7/
Item 2) Microsoft support

Or just Google - Windows 7 stop auto sort of files - as there are quite a few similar results -

Thank You -
