Because it looks like all answers are slightly different I suspected I should start my own topic

My HP Notebook is a little over a year old
For a while now it just stops responding. IE, Firefox and Microsoft Word will just stop and the screen goes cloudy with that little spinning circle.
If I Log Off and back on again it usually fixes itself. Lately I have just hit the "find a solution" and that will work for a short time.

I have decided to come here for some help and ask what the heck is going on!... it seems to be happening so much that I am ready to throw my Laptop out the window.
I have removed almost all my pictures and tried to clean up the computer but I am so afraid I will take something away that I need and really mess things up.

Really need some help
Thanks !!

Welcome aboard Posted Image

Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons). Same problem?

If you're using Firefox 3.x, close Firefox. Go Start>All Programs>Mozilla Firefox, click on Mozilla Firefox (safe mode).
If you're using Firefox 4, or higher go Help>Restart Firefox with Add-ons Disabled.
Same issue?

Thanks

I will have to let you know. Right now everything is running smooth. It is ramdom but happens daily.. and has been going on for a while. I did a little digging around (running only HP diagnostics in the help center) and found this message

Diagnosing Computer Problems
Windows
Problem: Video hardware error
Files that help describe the problem:
WD-20120207-1741.dmp
sysdata.xml
WERInternalMetadata.xml
View a temporary copy of these files
Warning: If a virus or other security threat caused the problem, opening a copy of the files could harm you computer

I did not open the file obviously.

Also got a message that my graphics driver stopped working. A lot of little annoying things are going on with my computer lately.. For instance my mouse wont click on anything in Firefox past a certain point on the page..

My initial reason for coming to this website was the "Not Responding" issue... I just have to wait and see at this point if it freezes up again.

Thanks so much for your help
I will check back to let you know how the day goes.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.
