Hi there. A couple months ago I posted a topic here about this problem, but things go so busy for me I would either forget that I had done so or not be able to find the time to follow some of the instructions. Anyway, in the thread, I was originally told that my DNS had been hijacked by some website. The problem that I was relating then was webpages not loading to particular sites (eBay was one). For a while that went away, but recently the webpage times out every time I try to load anything. I have to refresh each time to get it to work, sometimes more than once. And I just ran in to one that wouldn't load at all.

So I'm hoping I won't be so lazy this time and actually do what you need me to do to get this fixed.

Thanks

Try this before submitting the logs I'm requesting.

type
ipconfig /flushdns <-- (The space between g and / is needed) press the Enter key.

repeat with
ipconfig /renew

Then type Exit, hit the Enter key
*/*

FOR VISTA/Windows 7
Click the Posted Image button. In the Search box, type Command Prompt, and then, in the list of results, double-click Command Prompt.

at the cursor type:
ipconfig /flushdns <-- (A space between g and / is needed)

repeat with
ipconfig /renew

Then hit Enter, type Exit, hit the Enter key.

OR if this fails.

You may need to run CMD - Command Prompt on Vista - Windows 7 with Elevated Privilege

Please download and run this DDS Scanning Tool. Nothing will be deleted. It will just give me some additional information about your system.

  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links if you no longer have it available. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run.

Please just paste the contents of the DDS.txt log in your next post. DO NOT attach the log.

If needed.
The scan will also create this Attach.txt log I would also like to see the content.
Please post it in a other post for my review, do not attach the file.

  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.
