You are running an outdated version of HijackThis.. Delete the copy you have and download the latest version of HijackThis!: Download here HJT 1.98.2. Save it on your Desktop. You will need now to unzip hijackthis.exe to a permanent folder, such as c:\hjt . This has to be done as HijackThis creates backups. You may need to use these backups.

First create a new folder:
A. Click My Computer icon on your desktop
B. Click C: drive
C. Click the File menu --> New --> Folder, a folder "New folder" will be created.
D. Rename it HJT

Unzip hijackthis.exe to the c:\HJT folder.

Run hijackthis.exe and post a new log please.

I feel you pain! I'm having the same kind of problems. I noticed you are using HijackThis v1.97.7. I would'nt be much help too you, but I have quoted cryo from another post. He told another member to update too HJT 1.98.2. read my quote to see his directions.

cryo I hope I'm not stepping on your toes I'm just trying to help speed Demon's recovery because I know how much it sucks being in such a position.

I have upgraded. already I realized that the file from their official webpage was the old version. Download.com had the new one. I've fixed the problem.
