Not sure which forum to put it in.

Today I installed iTunes 10 on Windows 7. It installed OK, I then uninstalled it because I needed to change the user name on the profile.

I now can't install iTunes. It gets to installing files, and then goes into roll back. I'm banging my head against the wall here, can anyone help?

I've ensured that all components related to iTunes is gone, but it still won't install.

What do you mean change the username on the profile?

Ok. It was my late Father in Law's PC and I changed the user name from "his name" to "my name"

Try using this tool: http://remove-it.org/tools/byetunes to remove iTunes Completely. I would have just created another account and deleted your father -in-laws.

Thanks my friend, that's sorted it. I have created a new user profile too! There was obviously a rogue key set in the registry or something.
