Me again. I seem to be having a string of bad luck with my computer and hard drives. I have a 6 month old iOmega 500 GB harddrive that I keep some pretty important data on for work. As of this morning, when I plug it in, I get a message saying it has to be formatted before I can use it.
It shows up in Disk management but not device manager. I've tried reassigning a drive letter, jiggling cables, shutting down and rebooting with it plugged in, etc. etc. but nothing works. I'm pretty scared about losing this data, so if anyone has any advice, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I'm running Windows 7.
