Hello, I have had a problem with internet speed since the 16th of Feb. my download is .59mbps and is normally 5mbps my up load is unchanged at .56mbps . Other PCs on our home LAN are normal speeds . I am running Vista Home Premium 64. I was sent here by another BC tech after trying differant anti malware/virus programs. ETC. He seemed to think I had a conjested HDD, but I show 55 gb free space . Any help would be very appreciated. I notice window updates coming through around the same time as this problem started, but dont want to misslead anyone in that direction beacause I really dont know if thats related to the problem.

From your post at http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic443489.html/page__p__2605444#entry2605444 :

2 Drive c: () (Fixed) (Total:931.51 GB) (Free:50.16 GB) NTFS

Generally, Windows may become flaky when free space on a partition is less than 10%...10% of 931GB is 93GB. I'd say that you need to move some files to another drive or storage media.

Try running the chkdsk /r command.

Have you checked with your ISP for known problems?

Did you read through the link re Slow Computer which was provided in your other topic?
