Just as the title and description says... Another "bleeping newbie" signs-up because I hear that this is a ***GREAT***
website! From what I've seen thus far cruising around the BC website, guess what? What I heard turns out to be right-on!!!
Computer-wise, I am a disabled retiree that considers himself an advanced computer geek.
Of course, the translation of that description means that I know just enough about running "regedit" to be extremely dangerous! LOL
!!!! And that is why I need Bleeping Computer; to help me muddle through the technical details of trying to undo whatever I did that I thought was absolutely correct and a good thing to do but turned out to be unfortunately very wrong whereby causing my BLEEPING COMPUTER
to behave very badly; if it even comes to "life" in order to "behave" at all...
Yup, I'm an easy-going hillbilly mountain-boy now living in the BIG
concrete city rolling around with round legs (read that as: I'm a veteran wheelchair user) so you can also call me a "wheelie" which relates to my screen-name. TMI yet?
On the more-serious side, I do look forward to picking up some valuable tips from the gurus around here and doing some research of my own with the "search-button" before asking a stupid question that has been asked (and maybe answered) a gazillion times.
Ahhhhhhh... the good-life of a noob!!! And if you really want to know, my computer is quickly becoming an antique (Dell Dimension E510 - 3 GHz Pentium 4 with 1 GB RAM running MS WinXP 2005 MC SP3) from January 2006. Plans are in our (my wife and I) 4th Quarter 2013 budget (just before all support ends for WinXP) for a new screaming-beast to possibly run Windows 8
. Let's all pray "old-faithful" makes it that long
(and I'm not talking about my wife but rather that
bleeping computer!). Thanks everyone!
Well, back to searching the BC Startup List
which is why I came here today in the first place. Cheers all!
