I've recently been getting this error on my XP PC, mostly when I open a window in the Chrome browser, or when I open my XP calendar (from the bottom right of the screen). The error I keep seeing is:

The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\msapsspc.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

After various virus scans from Malwarebytes and Microsoft security essentials, I can't seem to find any malicious software. At this point, I would honestly just reformat, but my CD drive doesn't currently have a way to receive any power (have to purchase a new power supply), so it looks like I have to remove it the old fashioned way. Any suggestions?

Your help is greatly appreciated.
