Hi

I have been unable to install KB2463332 on a PC. Log files of installation are below.

From the logs below, I suspect reason why it failed may be due to registry permissions.

Please advise on cause & resolution.

Hmmm...I don't see a definitive answer, just lots of guessing and "try this" from MS personnel.

What program installed the 2005 edition? I have the 2008 edition on my XP install and I assume that version should be installed, if one has SQL Server among installed apps.

What I would do is consider the current version corrupt...uninstall it...and either reinstall it or use the 2008 version.
