Hi. I have windows 7 professional 32 bit operating system. One problem is that i have flv files and i cant view them because
1. I dont have admin access to install anything and use a normal account.
2. I dont have vlc media player installed. Only basic windows media player.

Perhaps you can ask the administrator to either give you privileges or install a player for you.

Your title says "Conversion confusion" but you are talking about installing applications to view a media file?

If you don't have the rights to install what you want you need assistance from a person that does. It doesn't matter if that is VLC or a codec for media player.

If you want to convert a flv file to another format that media player understands you still need to install an application which you don't have rights to do.
