Hey Everyone,

I'm hoping someone out there can help me on my quest, I'm looking for a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Database.

To begin with, I'm looking for something free to get to grips with the functions etc. I downloaded the NCH Reflect CRM Customer Database: http://www.nchsoftware.com/crm/index.html but I couldn't do half the things I was expecting to be able to do in it.

I'm after a single program that would allow me to:
  • Manage Customer / Client Contact details
  • Track history
  • Track payments etc
  • Raise invoices and be able to e-mail them directly to Customers / Clients
I've come across the following free CRM Review page:

http://www.smallbizcrm.com/free-single-user-crm.html#BestFreeCRM

The tope 3 reviewed are all web based solutions. I'm not keen on the idea right now of having something cloud / online based. I'd like to have the program stored (with the data). Does anyone have any recommendations that they've tried and / or tested?

Thanks in advance

I would recommend CivicCRM from here: http://civicrm.org/

Hi Cryptodan,

Taking a very quick look at CiviCRM, it appears to be web-based. Is my understanding correct / incorrect?

This isn't what I'm looking for in the first instance. I'm looking for something that will sit on my PC locally, disconnected - if you like - from the internet. Ideally at this stage, I'm not looking for a web-based solution.

Does anyone else have any local solutions?

Does anyone have any experience of CRM-Express (Free or Professional Versions)?

Then I would recommend Quicken or Quickbooks.

I would recommend Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Their product can be installed on-premise and can be customized to your specific needs. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Ginny,

Thanks for the post, had a quick look at the software you recommended and it appears to be on a free trial for 30 days and suggests no downloads are required - making it an online CRM solution. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Thanks in advance
