I have an HP desktop computer with Windows Vista. It recently crashed, so as a last resort I ran a system recovery (original factory condition). During this process, I backed up all my programs and files onto CD's so I could restore them later.
Now my computer is up and running again, so I put the backup disks in and copied them back to my computer. As a result, I now have a folder on my desktop named "System Recovery Files". When I open it up, I see everything I want to restore, but the problem is, I don't know how to take them out of that folder and put them all where they belong (Desktop, pictures, programs etc). Does anyone know how to help me with this? I want my stuff back where it belongs, not in a useless folder.
Additional Info- I went to Control Panel/Restore Files, however the options are all grayed out (inaccessible) and it says "There are no backups available on this computer".
Please someone help me! I can see my old files in the folder but they wont work!
